Contend For The Faith Blog

“Contend for the Faith” is a blog dedicated to equipping believers with sound biblical truth, offering encouragement, and fostering spiritual growth in today’s world. Each post delves into Scripture, exploring how it applies to life’s challenges, faith, and personal struggles. While my posts are not exhaustive or in-depth studies, many of these topics could fill entire books, I aim to provide clear, concise insights that point you to the Scriptures, trusting that the Holy Spirit will work in you to teach, guide, and grant discernment, all for the glory of God and the exaltation of Christ’s work in our lives.

Core Principles:

  • Scripture as the Final Authority: In a world of differing opinions and beliefs, we turn to the Scriptures as the ultimate authority. God’s Word alone is infallible and sufficient for guiding our lives and shaping our understanding of truth (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Isaiah 40:8; 1 Thessalonians 2:13).
  • Building Up in Love: The aim of this blog is not to create division but to encourage believers, helping them grow in grace and stand firm in the faith. I share these thoughts out of love, seeking to build up the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:15-16; Philippians 1:9-10).
  • God’s Sovereign Truth: I do not attempt to defend God’s truth, for His Word stands on its own. The Bible speaks for itself, accomplishing God’s purposes through His sovereign will (Isaiah 55:11; Hebrews 4:12).

Audience and Message:

  • This blog is written primarily for believers, those who have the Holy Spirit to guide them into all truth and discern what is right (John 16:13; 1 Corinthians 2:14). Yet the gospel of Jesus Christ is for everyone. Whether you are exploring Christianity or have walked with Christ for years, the good news of Christ’s saving work is the only hope for all humanity (1 Corinthians 15:3-4; John 3:16).
  • The gospel is the foundation of our faith and our constant source of God’s love, as revealed in Christ’s perfect life, atoning death, and glorious resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 5:8).
  • The Scriptures contain the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, as taught in 2 Timothy 3:15. This highlights the Bible’s vital role in revealing God’s truth and plan for redemption. For those exploring faith, the Scriptures guide us in understanding Christ’s saving grace, emphasizing that salvation is a gift from God, received through belief in Jesus. Engaging with the Word allows you to discover the depth of God’s love and His desire for all to turn to Him in faith.

Mission:

May this blog be a resource that helps you grow in your understanding of Scripture, strengthens your faith, and encourages you to walk in grace and truth. God’s Word is unchanging and remains the ultimate source of truth. Let us trust fully in His sovereign grace and the authority of His Scriptures, which stand firm forever (Psalm 119:160; Matthew 24:35).
