The Peacemaker: A Biblical Guide to Resolving Personal Conflict

The Peacemaker helped me see conflict in a new way. Ken Sande shows that arguments and disagreements aren’t just problems, they are opportunities to glorify God, love others, and grow in Christ. Because Jesus made peace with us through the cross, we are called to live at peace with others (Romans 5:1–2; Colossians 1:19–20).

What stood out most were the “Four G’s of Peacemaking”: Glorify God, Get the log out of your own eye, Gently restore, and Go and be reconciled. These steps reminded me that peacemaking starts with examining my own heart, forgiving others, and seeking reconciliation, even when it’s hard. Conflict is not about winning or fixing people quickly; it’s about walking in humility and showing Christ’s love.

This book also reminded me that ministry happens in everyday relationships. Whether in marriage, friendships, or church life, handling conflict with grace helps both others and myself grow in Christ. The Peacemaker encouraged me to trust God in difficult situations and to be a peacemaker who points others to Him.

Note: God’s Word is rich and full of depth—I could write exhaustive pages on each topic. However, as this is a blog, my goal is to encourage and inform, providing a starting point for your own studies. While I can offer explanations and guidance, true understanding comes through God the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:10-12). Remember to please pray and ask God for wisdom and understanding, as recorded in James 1:5. If this blog has helped you in any way, be an encouragement by leaving a comment. I would greatly appreciate your feedback.
